If any of you out there in the peanut gallery were thinking about taking Adaher’s analysis seriously, I’d suggest you read the quoted sentence a few times to see how self-serving and empty it is.
The Germans violating Belgian neutrality to attack France, starting WWI? Nope. Clearly dwarfed by Clinton (supposedly) injecting race into a campaign.
IMHO, I believe that emphasizing the word BILL will draw the readers attention to the fact that the OP was referring to a Team Clinton campaign and not just to a Hillary campaign.
Bill Clinton was nationally known as “Clinton” before any other national character claimed/was given that moniker. He should get to keep the moniker “Clinton”.
Hillary, being the 2nd Clinton, plus having a unique name, has been known nationally as “Hillary” for some time.
It looks like the Republicans have finally figured out that people who aren’t right-wingers actually like Obama. Frothing up their base by linking Hillary and Obama isn’t going to get them any votes that they weren’t already going to get. That’s not going to help them in the General Election.
So now, suddenly, it’s all about Bill. Like that’s going to work any better. The center and left LOVE Bill.
Expect in four to six weeks a long lost connection to Jeffrey Dahmer or John Wayne Gacy to be uncovered by some obscure website. Fox News headline: “Some people say that Hillary and John Wayne Gacy were best buddies back in Chicago.”
Obama’s approval rating is 43%. If 57% of the country are right wingers than the Republicans don’t have much to worry about. Unfortunately for my side, 57% of the country isn’t right wing, so we’re tying Clinton to Obama so that we can get the bulk of the 57% that don’t like Obama.
Actually in all seriousness -
now that Bill Cosby has been charged, how long till it emerges that he attend a Clinton fundraiser or was in some other way honoured by them?
Sex scandals (with the exception of “Tailgate”), generally seem to follow the Right more than the Left. Just off the top of my head, the Duggars are pretty conservative, David Vitter’s spent time with escorts from the DC Madam, Ted Haggard, Mark Foley’s time with teenage male pages.
I’m not going to say that it’s exclusively the domain of the Right to become embroiled in those types of situations. But it seems that their hands are a little dirtier in this matter. Stickier, too.
If Al Gore had not tried to distance himself from Bill Clinton so much, and had sent Bill to campaign in Arkansas (where he was still well liked and the only Arkansan President), Gore could have won that state. And then all the crooked ballots in Florida wouldn’t have mattered, and the Supreme Court would never have been involved.
I’m sure there are, and those can be convinced to stay home. It’s hard to see many lefties liking Clinton if they don’t like Obama. Those are the “Bernie or nobody” voters.
Maybe. If they are not tempted by the siren song of Dr. Huxtable railroaded by PC feminists and so-called “victims” who are looking for a nice slice of his fortune. Remember, many Republicans find comfort in his stern lectures to the black community. Start in talking about how the black community fail to practice self-reliance and discipline, you have their rapt attention. Oh, my, yes.
People are saying that the, ah, “lynch mob” going after Uncle Pudding are hoping to silence his criticism. People are saying that, so reporting that people are saying it would be totally accurate. Of course, people are also saying that he is a corrupt degenerate, no doubt inspired by the license and depravity of the “first black President”. When Roger Ailes makes up his mind, he will tell us.
