I was under the impression that they were so imagine my joy when I discovered all the free on demand stuff available with my Comcast digital cable installation!
Now my challenge is to try to find all of it. I did find a Comcast site that does list it but the searching feature is not very good. Any suggestions?
I would think that Comcast’s On Demand is the same thruout the country. Any idea why the web site would list NBC programing available but only have CBS in my On Demand ?
I just go to each individual on-demand channel and using the remote you can scan the entire list of free on-demand programming for that channel- on mine it is roughly channels 150-175, just pick one and you’ll see something like “all programs”, or they could be broken down in subsets.
Unless I am misunderstanding your question…
With our cable (Charter), not all OnDemand stuff is free (although a lot is). You have to look at each one. What confuses me is that there will be 3 year old movies for which they are charging $3.99.
It’s confusing, with my Comcast, the regular channels that are part of the regular digital service that have an on-demand equivalent are free on-demand, but movies on the pay per view channel are not- even old ones are at least 1.99. However, the regular free on-demand recently added TCM and Sundance channels (Sundance channel is pay, but I pay) and it looks like TCM and Sundance have a few actual name movies free on-demand currently (Dr. Strangelove is one, believe it or not).
