Lord no, I wasn’t banned. it just seems like it’s getting too commercial, with companies trying to hawk their stuff, rather than individuals.

If you’re looking to buy something, you might want to try the “reverse-auctions” like Respond.com or eWanted or iWant.com
These are the places where (in theory) you’ll have multiple people who want to sell you the item thus driving the price lower.
No first-hand experience, but have heard stories of it working ok. Guess you just have to try it.

Pretty fair deal. Watch out for their huge shipping charges.
A 1 oz PMCIA modem cost $12.50 to mail. If you bought two, $25.00 for shipping. I don’t know why they get away with this crap but just beware of that.
