Other Online selling Sites?

What non-ebay, non-Amazon sites would you recommend for selling items?

Craigslist.

Never had much luck there, with books.
But, I’m trying right now.

If you have thousands of books try Abebooks and Alibris.

Craigslist is usually the last result for bulky items I do not wish to ship. While eBay/Paypal is fairly expensive at about 12 to 15 percent of the total purchase price in fees it has given me much higher quality responses over time than any other sale site. Is there a reason using ebay would give you pause?

Rakuten

Most special interest online forums have a buying/selling section, as does Straight Dope.

half.com, although that is a subsidiary of ebay.

Hunting or fishing related:

Some folks think its just firearms and parts but it goes further afield (sorry) than just that.

Uber?

For musical instruments, Reverb.com is the way to go.

If you just want to get rid of things you’re not using, Craigslist. The only caveat is don’t expect much in the way of decency.

Not that many.

On 3 different occasions I have tried to sety up a work Sales account on ebbay.
Never

It
Working!!!

Most recently, I spent 4 1/2 hours messing with it, to no result.

The response from both ebay & paypal?
“I don’t knowwww.”

Books, movies, & comics are my focus, mostly.

Maybe get someone to help you? Seems like many/most people are able to navigate through the process.

Sounds like user error. I don’t regularly sell on eBay, but I’ve probably sold a couple of dozen items over the years with no problem.

For the books what about a used book store. At mine you don’t get money but in-store credit which I use to get more books.
