Why not just read some of the more lurid passages from the bible. The ones that never seem to get read in churchy settings.

And the one about not eating shellfish. You could have lobster for dinner and read that passage.

Thank you Miller, for fixing the quote and apologizing. You did make it appear I said something completely different. I’m sure you understand my dismay. Again, thank you for your correction.

I still think discussing sexual orientation is a conversation walking a fine line from discussing sex. It is an intimate personal matter that people don’t take lightly. Ideally, children should be able to talk to their parents, and unfortunately thats not always the case. I still say its a tough call, and exact circumstances and conversation might make it reasonable or not.

How does exposing a kid to the fact that gay people exist and are not monsters have anything to do with a kid’s sexual orientation? It is useful for kids to be aware of no matter their orientation.
It is not a trivial matter, since one of the arguments against SSM has been that some parents want to prevent their kids from even being aware that not everyone is like them. Do you support this argument?

I maintain that to intentionally and secretively encourage and aid a young child to go against their parents reasonable wishes is wrong.

This is the opinion I have defended in this thread, Voyager. I have not in any way defended homophobia, which most would consider quite unreasonable.

But on a side note, have you stopped beating your wife?
