And rightly so, wouldn’t you think? Think about it. Say a child molesting baby killer gets locked up and he unwillingly becomes Bubba’s girlfriend. Some may think he’s gotten his just desserts, and maybe they’re right. But is it funny? I don’t think so. Where’s the humor in that situation?
Prison is a hellish enough experience without the added threat of rape. It is not part of the punishment. And, yes, many guards do turn a blind eye to what goes on. The term “correctional institution” is a fucking joke.
Many people have a narrow view of the type of person who goes to prison(Bandanaman, I’m looking at you). The truth is, many prisoners just want to do their time and get on with their lives. Shit happens. It may come as a shock to you, ** bandanaman **, but not everyone who commits a crime sets out to do so. Your black and white view of the world is both ignorant and appalling. Please go slide down a razor blade into a jacuzzi full of lemon juice, and wash out your wounds with salt. Thank you.

I’ve spent many holidays and birthdays at correctional institutions(as a visitor, not an inmate), so please don’t presume to think that I don’t have some sort of knowledge of prison.

“Bubba” is a southern colloquialism for the oldest brother in a family. It’s used by both white and black people.
I think the name, Bubba, pops up in these kinds of Jokes because it sounds very masculine and seems to imply size.
“You’re gonna be dancing with a guy named Bubba” sounds funnier than “You’re gonna be dancing with a guy named Todd.”
I think “you’re gonna be dancing with Alexander” is better.

Oddly enough, I’m listening to 60 minutes expose that detailed a case in Houston, where a man was convicted of a kidnap/rape, based on DNA evidence, spent long time in prison.
Funny thing? the lab was wrong. he’s out now. Of course, we can all breathe easier 'cause while he was the scumbag in prison, y’all wished anal rape on him. But now that we know he was innocent, all’s ok again, right?
