Nearly twenty years ago, I had a strange rash which I very much would like to know today what it was. It is difficult to google on this, due to key words involved, and anycase, I haven’t found anything though extensive searching. Where else could I turn now?

I was about seven spots in a circle. There was nothing inside this circle (no redness or anything). No particular itch. The circle of spots appeared on the shoulder, back, side, upper arm, thigh. About an inch in diameter, some smaller. It came, multiplied somewhat for a few weeks (about ten at the most), and then slowly disappeared.
IANAD, but was it ringworm? My daughters’ both had it when they were little. It sounds kind of like what you are describing.

I had Pityriasis Rosea when I was about 13 or so. Sound something like what you describe, although I had lots and lots of spots. Here’s a link that has a photo:
