Once Upon A Time - Sept. 30, 2012 - Season 2 Premiere

Episode Title: “Broken”

There’s a one-hour recap of season 1 that airs first (6 pm Central), followed by the season 2 premiere.

When we last left Storybrooke, Regina’s spell had just been broken. People are remembering their real identities. A cloud of purple fog is billowing toward the town!

I can’t wait to see how they handle this, with everybody remembering. It will be a huge shift in the story. I guess the goal now will be to try to get them all back to HEAL (Happily Ever After Land).

I’m hoping we get some of last season’s guest stars to reprise their roles, like Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Kristin Bauer van Straten as Malificent, and Amy Acker as a clumsy fairy. And I wonder if we’ll see Giancarlo Esposito back as Sydney Glass/The Mirror, since he’s got a regular role on the new show Revolution.

What new fairy-tale or Disney characters do you think we’ll see this season?

Is this the guy who played Rene in True Blood?

Oh, and is this Sleeping Beauty?

Where is everyone? Is this thread on? [Tap tap] I figured there would be a few more in here.

I seem to recall someone in last year’s thread saying a good way to do season two would be to have some people from Storybrook go to HEAL.

Anyone know who the guy who said “You’re not my prince” is? He looks familiar, I just don’t remember if we’ve been told who he is.

I thought it was pretty good over all.

Yes, Aurora is Sleeping Beauty. I was a little confused near the beginning myself.

It was cool to see Mulan, but I wish her acting wasn’t quite so stiff. Maybe she’ll get better over time. Unfortunately there is a decent amount of awkward acting on this show… I’m still watching though, so they must be doing something right.

Henry’s going to go live with Grandpa! That should be interesting for them.

Someone needs to give Jefferson back his damn hat. The mayor was NOT convincing. “Who’s Jefferson?” I could have smacked her. But now that I think about it, I can’t remember just what happened to him. I remember a final scene where he was madly (heh) making hats, but I get the feeling we saw him again after that. ARGH!

Of course we can’t just kill the evil queen - This is a Disney show! >_<

Looks like more fairytale goodness from here on out! I’ll be watching, though it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure. ^_-

I guess I missed something because it seemed like Regina had no magic and then suddenly had magic later for no apparent reason.

There was a wooshing effect right after Emma touched her on the arm - Regina picked up on it, but no one else apparently did.

Yeah, Emma somehow unintentionally enabled Regina’s magic. That was funny when Regina first tried to use magic on the mob in front of her house and… nothing.

That was Dr. Whale, IIRC. He’s always been a little dodgy. I cracked up when Snow commented on how she and Emma had discussed their one night stands.
“One night stands?” exclaimed Charming.
“Whale” says Snow.
“Whale?!”
“We were under a curse!”

I thought that’s who it was, although I best remember him as Britt from Terriers. It looked more like Rene/Britt/Michael Raymond-James in the scene in New York than in the fairy-tale scene.

Mulan was terribly wooden. I hope she gets better. I loved the Dwarves all together, bowing to Snow. And I loved “You’re not the Prince of me!” (not the actual line, but the spirit.

Ok - so the guy in New York is supposed to be Sleeping Beauty’s prince?

I assumed so, since the New York scene immediately preceded the scene with Sleeping Beauty.

My only issue with that is that his body was still in HEAL (or a suburb thereof).

No the guy in NYC is credited as “Mysterious Man” AND i get the feeling he has never actually been to Storybrooke. I thin he might have spent the last 28 years growing up in the real world as a orphan, after he left for a a world without magic!! I think he might be Mr. Golds son

It was Jefferson who sprung Belle out of the hospital basement.
Why/How did the hat take them to HEAL? I thought the hat only took people to Wonderland, which appeared to be a separate land from HEAL. Although, now that I think about it, the hat must take orders from the spinner, as Regina reached through the hat for the apple a few shows ago.
::sigh:: You’d think after a year (more?) of living with Rumpelstiltskin, Belle would have known to extract a more exact promise from him.

That’s a good idea, but how would Bale know about the curse? He left HEAL *years *before the curse was discussed or executed.

I really enjoyed last season and liked last nights episode.

But dammit! That little kid is pissing me off: “Oh noes!! Pledase don’t kill my mother but not really mother the Evil Queen.”

And them to make it worse Prince Charming is all like: “Duh, ok” He then goes on to get the rest of the town folk to go along.

Jeez! The only likable character last night was Mr. Gold

This was my thought - plus using a bird to deliver that message is very blue fairy like.

In the episode last season when we see Jeffrey take Regina to Wonderland, they first travel to a room or something inside the hat that looked like a “crossroads” of sorts. There were different doorways leading, presumably, to different worlds. They travel through the door to Wonderland. Jeffrey warns Regina that only the same number of people that enter can leave. She double-crosses him and leaves with her father, stranding Jeffrey in Wonderland without his magic hat. He tries over and over to recreate the magic hat, going “mad” in the process.

I think Bale might have met Pinocchio/August at one time or another. I’m disappointed we didn’t see any August this episode. Did August send the bird? Is he still made of wood? The other theory out there is that Michael Raymond-James is Henry’s dad. He could both be both Bale and Henry’s dad, then Gold and Charming would be his grandpas.

I’d love to sit in on that therapy session with Mr. Cricket.
