Oh boy, saw some live shots of Long Island on the late news - snow blowing and drifting. To any and all there, please stay inside! And that includes you, Rosie! The reporter said that the snowflakes were burning and biting any exposed skin  like little ice pellets, I guess. BBBBBobbio has a whole lotta snow also and knowing how folks down that way are unused to it, my advice there is to stay put also!
FCM, I did hear on the local news that southern MD did NOT get the amounts that they’d been calling for at first, maybe 3 inches at the most. I think the Chesapeake Bay ended up being the dividing line on this storm. Whew! Sorry to hear about your cousin; the family is in my prayers and thoughts.
Have a safe and warm week all!
FCM- I’m so very sorry for your loss.
The storm by me is actually pretty bad. And today was the day my wife decided to take her Christmas present: to drive to Atlantic City, by herself, for a full day of gambling w/o me or the kids to bother her. I last heard from her 90 min ago; she’s been in the same spot on the GSP by Toms River stopped for over an hour. She says she has a full tank of gas, but she also said she doesn’t know when she’ll get home.
Up here, wind is blowing snow into dunes; shovel a patch & a cross wind will cover it in. Its a nasty night out.
Update- yes, she spent the whole night trapped in her SUV. I was wrong though; she was by [del]The Garden State Art Center[/del] Your Name Here for A Nickle Center. I was able to reach her by cell phone over night & and she had a full tank of gas. As I write this, she says she’s about to get dug out (5 rows of cars away) and I have to leave for work. At least she has a spot shoveled out for her for when she arrives. And coffee. Kids are fed, food in the fridge. And I’ll probably never have to ask her Not to take the Express Lanes of the GSP ever again.
