One Last Time: Fug You W!!!

Not a fucking chance in hell. Free at last from you, you motherfucker, and that gang of thugs you brought in with you. The country would not have survived another four years of you, so thank Og for term limits, you cocksucker. I’ve never hated a man as much as I hate you.
I’m addressing Bush, of course, not you, aldiboronti.

Might as well post this here since it’s bound to draw all the rabid delusional types…what happened to the invasion of Iran? Bush is (finally!) gone yet we didn’t invade Iran…wtf?!? And what happened to outlawing abortion? I thought he was supposed to do that as well…wtf?!?

As for the OP…yeah, fuck him. Good riddance and all that jazz. But I have my doubts that this will be the last Pit thread on him…or even the last time the OP mentions him. My guess is that Bush will be brought up for the duration of Obama’s presidency and probably beyond that…much in the same way that Clinton was brought up throughout Bush’s presidency.

Kind of like the way the Republicans were no longer able to blame anything on Bill Clinton after Jan 20, 2001.

Doors has promised a Pit thread once Bush was out of office.

Yeah, I’d pretty much have to go with the only one really getting off the hook finally is Clinton…the right wing will now have a fresh target to go after. W will have to wait for a few decades until the next Republican president is elected before HE gets off the lefty front page…

You beat me to it.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

So, are the lads and ladies in uniform now legally free to tell us what they thought of the SOB?

Sure, Bush is a fuckup, but worst President? I for one do not believe he is worse than, say, Andrew Jackson, or Warren Harding.

Furthermore, to point out some pure bullshit criticisms…

What surplus? You mean that bullshit projected surplus that was purely spindoctored and was never actual reality? The surplus that was completely reliant on the Dot-com bubble not bursting, as well as relying on everything going perfectly in the economy. I bet you think Bush is also responsible for 9/11 destroying any possibility of a budget surplus as well.

You clearly do not understand all the fine details of what happened in Katrina - like the fact that Bush couldn’t do a damn thing about it until State + Local officials requested it? The fact is, Mayor Nagin and Gov. Blanco were responsible because they did not act.

Nice, blame the President for the obstinance of Democrat Senators and Representatives who cockblocked every effort to stop it from happening.

But, I guess reality has no place in a political circle-jerk. Carry on.

I think he returned to his basest roots and abandoned some of the more florid plans in favor of a good old fashioned Republican purse snatch. Once he had $700 billion waved in front of his nose the rest of it seemed like too much trouble to what is obviously a profoundly lazy man.

Was I the only one who had a fantasy of the “Bush Departure Ceremony” that included handcuffs and an arrest warrant for war crimes? 'Cuz that would’ve been AWESOME! “Yup, Mr Ex-President Future Inmate, this isn’t AirForce One, it’s ConAir One! Welcome aboard your very own FailPlane!”

Yeah, I would’ve queefed…

Of course, 100 years from now, $4 million will be worth $1.50 in 2009 money. And will have the Chinese Premier’s head on it.

You seriously think we would have made the same mistake a third time?

Erm…yes. Yes, it was 100% intentional. firm nod

If it helps, I was in Applebee’s last Wednesday and had a yahoo at the next table angrily declaring that he SHOULD.

To paraphrase Dr. Seuss: “George W. Bush-Would You Please Go Now!”

Well, it wasn’t me-I swear!

(Of course, there are already morons on Free Republic saying that Obama’s going to declare this place a Marxist dictatorship-and they ain’t kidding)

He and his buddies screwed up and spent all their political capital on Iraq. They DID intend to permanently control the government; they were willing to give more and more power to Bush because they thought there would never be a Democratic President again. Or Congress for that matter; remember the “permanent Republican majority” the Right was talking about not so long ago ?

Like the fact that Bush gutted the Federal emergency response services. And that he was so detached from reality, since he proudly avoids watching the new or reading newspapers - that he hadn’t a clue that things were at all bad there until his staff created a special DVD just for him ? And so on.

Could you name for me the Administration efforts to stop it? Seriously, I cannot seem to recall them.

OP:

Show some class.

In 2003 The Bush administration recommended moving governmental supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac under a new agency created within the Department of the Treasury. The changes were blocked by Congress…

Considering that conservatives blamed every single Bush mistake - from the slightest misstep to 9/11 itself - on Clinton until about, oh, 2005, I hardly think this will be the last Bush pitting. Hundredth to last, maybe. Liberals are hardly more fair or objective than conservatives, they just claim to be. And this board is full of liberals.

And was Congress controlled by Democrats in 2003? No, I don’t think it was. Were Republicans in charge? Why yes, I believe they were!
