One of my videos is being considered for exhibition at a (minor)film festival

A video I made a few years back (mostly just as a bit of fun to learn the features of the video editing program I had chosen) - The Dream Kitchen Of Tomorrow - is being considered for showing at the Reel Food Film Festival, run by the Modesto Art Museum.

I think it’s only shortlisted at the moment, so it might not make it into the final lineup, but I’m really quite excited about this.

Congrats on the shortlist, it’s a rather nice work of editing!

Dream Kitchen of Tomorrow indeed!
How’d you find all that source material?

Thanks.

Most of it is public domain footage from the moving images section of Archive.org

Very chicken-centric. Since I love chicken, I am wholeheartedly in favor.
(congrats on being shortlisted)

Congrats! I really enjoyed your film, and proudly forwarded to everyone I know, (many of whom will be very confused).

Confusion is the general idea. Thanks.

Oh, nice! I’ll watch it tonight. Sounds interesting.

Heeeeeey, can i say I know a guy who makes movies?

Very cool stuff. Good luck with being chosen.

I’ve been involved with a couple of projects that have gone into very minor festivals and such (lesser ones than your festival), and it’s a nice little feather in the cap and story to tell around the snacks table.

Another great video. This is a fun one that I watched the whole way through. Keep plucking away at it.

Anybody that likes gadgets from the past, should give Ma and Pa Kettle a check out. They move into a modern house in one of them, but all the films have gadgets and hilarity. Listing of movies.

just… one… more… time… it… must… be… in… here… some… where…

Let us know if your video is in the exhibit.
