"One Week" question

Barenaked Ladies’ song “One Week” ends with a fade out of “It’ll still be two weeks 'til we say we’re sorry” except that the fourth time they say it, they don’t. They say something else. They say it before and after, but the fourth time is something different. I haven’t seen any lyrics sheets that say what it is. Does anyone know?

“Birchmount Stadium-Home of the Robbie”

I knew they said that (although I always thought it was Busmill Stadium-- home of the Robbie) but what does it mean? Is there a Birchmount Stadium in Canada? Who is the Robbie it is home of?

That’s “days” not weeks. Whoops. :smack: :smack:

“Birchmount Stadium, home of the Robbie.”

Dammit! Scooped again!

From here:
“Birchmount Stadium
One Week by The Barenaked Ladies…at the end of the song, they lightly sing “Birchmount Stadium home of The Robbie.” Birchmount Stadium is found in Scarborough, a former city now a part of Toronto. The Robbie happens to be a soccer tournament that is hosted there.”

Scarborough represent!!!

Robbie Website

It’s a pretty big youth soccer tournament with teams coming from all over the world.

Now I’m all in the know! I can score points with all my Canadian friends.

One of the members of BNL joked that – as a result of the song – they hoped to see a sign there saying “Birchmount Stadium, home of ‘Birchmount Stadium home of The Robbie’”
