Ongoing Pet Peeve of the Day Thread

What? I’m the only peeved person so far today? Everyone out there is peeve free?? Amazing.

I’m peeved about government office switchboard operators. I returned a call this morning from an employee at the state unemployment office who had some questions on a former employee. He left a number and his name. I called the number given, and the agency operator answered. I asked to speak to this guy, by name. She asked me if I had his extension. I said no, he didn’t leave one in the message, only the main number and his name. She replied that she couldn’t connect me unless I had his extension number. This was their rule. I lifted my eyes to the Lord and counted to 5. I then asked her if I could simply leave him a message that I’d returned his call and to call me back? Oh no, she informed me, she couldn’t take a message without an extension, either.

End result, I hung up without leaving a message or getting the extension number from this uber competent public functionary. I guess I’l wait and see if the agent calls me back.

Totally and utterly FUBAR.

shit no. I dont care; two things, if I make sense or meanings with my posts, I might look more intelligent, I’m here for fun but not make fun of people.

During my first week here I never said I would have back up on anything I post. I just “mouth off” for the fun of it-I never mean any harm, rarely unless I am attacked first

So yeah, lots of BS comes into my posts, so what? I’ve been relatively poor and shit on most of my life and I want to have enough money to pay the bills on time, have money for food, is that for too much to ask?
Basically if Canada can get prescription drugs cheaper, what can not us down here?

Course that would be rhetoric I am listening to therefore probably misinformation-I listen to a lot of crap that probably isn’t true but I rarely have time to look up things on their truthfulness.

Don’t just whine because a company that has invested in development of a drug wants to reap enough profit to pay its employees

Yeah well I’m talking too much money as profit. And of course you would still continue to say this is a capitalist economy no matter what I say.

If capitalism means stomping on people for payment, when what you do, is not worth the money you are asking for, unfortunately people have to pay that, have no choice.

I’d charge for my labor/material and a bit more for profit-I dont thinks its fair to charge what they do for work that may only take a few minutes time

Do a bit of research on what clinical trials cost; lobby for Default Approval for use of de-idenified medical records for clinical research; tell your insurance provider and pharmacist you don’t want any drugs manufactured by a company with an Import Alert for any drug.

uh yeah…again. I do know this. I rarely show it, but I am more knowledgeable than I let on. Just not educated enough to express it or even care. Lazy I guess. More fun to bother people similar to you who feel they need to post to people like me, to make them feel less important than you.

But I dont condemn you for it, freedom of speech and all that.

I think I need to practice more of “less is more” I always over explain…

Passengers in the back of a plane that store their ‘carry on bags’ over the seats at the front of them plane. Put your oversized damn bag over your seat, not mine.

And for that matter, people that take way too much stuff as a carry on. Or stuff their coat in the over head bins. You can keep that in your lap.
