Online pharmacy? Online liquor store?

These are simple questions, so I hope it’s okay to combine them into one thread. If there’s a combination pharmacy/liquor store out there, yeeeehaw!

The reason for posting them is somewhat similar. The Internet is filled with sophisticated scams and separating the wheat from the chaff isn’t exactly easy—particularly with regards to the legality of selling pharmaceuticals and liquor online.

So … does anyone have experience with legitimate online storefronts? I have mundane, doctor-prescribed drugs that I need no pharmacist consultations for (anything new or out of the ordinary will get filled locally) and wouldn’t mind paying for shipping if I don’t have to drive to the store.

I’d also like to find a source for Springbank (a single malt Scotch). I could just ask one of our brick-n-mortar stores to order it, but I’d rather not keep looking for one whose distributor carries it.

Thanks,

Rhythm

(I put this in IMHO because there’s likely to be more than one and opinions of service are welcome. Also, any opinions on Springbank and the various elixirs (10yo; 15yo; cask strength) are welcome.)

My insurance company wants me to use CVS pharmacy. Google it and I think the first hit is the online division.

Quite a lot of online pharmacies. My insurance mandates that I use medco.com for anything beyond the first 3 fills of a scrip - basically any routine meds. The penalty is they basically won’t pay for anything at all beyond that.

Never had any problem with them except the time I had to mail-order an injectable medication and they couldn’t get their act together to actually contact the doctor to arrange shipping. Asses.

I think drugstore.com also has a prescription division.

I don’t have personal experience with online pharmacies, but the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy has a list of legitimate ones on its website: http://www.nabp.net/programs/accreditation/vipps/find-a-vipps-online-pharmacy/

I’ve ordered from D&M and Internet Wines and Spirits with no problems.

There’s a lot of online liquor stores - I order wine pretty often.

Assuming you’re in the US, whether or not you can actually order from them and have them ship to you depends on what state they’re in, what state you’re in, and the various laws in between. Some states are very open to shipping liquor; in others it’s flat-out impossible. Most online stores will tell you if they can ship to you or not.
