Well I could see it if Illinois went for the high ground and had a ban on all gambling or something, but we have two river boats, a lottery, and the mayor of the city of Chicago basically begging to be allowed to open a casino that would be owned by the city itself, so in turn banning citizens from playing for cash on the net is patiently stupid.
Also, I believe you can play the lottery and bet on horses on the internet. “Patently stupid” doesn’t nearly cover it.
