Oobleck !!!!!

Any other 40-something adults out there addicted to the stuff?

My kids have to hide it now when they dare bring it home from school.

I’m still traumatized for life from when we read the book in preschool and then made the stuff, because I was afraid it would happen for real, and also I don’t like touching goopy things. I do believe I cried.

…Do I dare ask…?

Oobleck (and Glurch!)

Bingie-tingie! Squweeeeeeee! Woopwoopwoop!
Oh…sorry. I thought this was the Silly Noises Thread. Carry on.

Wasn’t that the green sticky stuff in a Dr Seuss story? As a toddler it scared the crap out of me.

I never knew what it was called, but I remember playing with it as a kid. In fact, I made stew last week, and after I made the cornstarch slurry to thicken it, I made Oobleck for my kids to play with. (They are 13 and 14) It’s amazing to me what impresses them. I can pontificate until I am blue in the face…nothing. Mix up some goop, I am magical!

Solid to the touch, yet runs through your fingers…fun times!

Awsome video:

Around my house oobleck was also called moon mud. And yes it’s lots of fun to play with.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRGH! :smack:

Cecil, is all your effort in vain?

Um, oobleck is fun!
