Oohhh no, Ferry Halim's Orisinal games are gone!

Yes, I know, I’m prob the last person on the planet to realize Flash is gone (feel free to mock me) but damnit for a non-gamer those were not only fun games but a thing of beauty. Le sigh…

Yes with no Flash sadly Strongbad is gone too. You can still view the videos on Youtube but it’s not the same.

Yes, for Strongbad my adult daughter wept.

The Internet Archive is preserving Flash games, and BlueMaxima has this massive trove of flash content they salvaged, along with a standalone player.

Flashpoint Archive

BlueMaxima’s Flashpoint is a webgame preservation project. […] Since early 2018, Flashpoint has saved more than 70,000 games and 8,000 animations running on 20 different platforms.

There are also replacement plugins of various capabilities. I’ve heard good things about Lightspark and Ruffle.

Oh, and it seems that HomestarRunner.com does automatically use Ruffle, with nothing to install. It’s not perfect right now (particularly with newer vids) but it does let me play the old Flash content. I can even get to the old main pages.

And, after installing the latest Ruffle as an extension in Chrome, I was able to get at least the earlier games from the OP’s website to work. Only the first five seem to be unsupported.

I too loved those games … even as a gamer, they offered a particular aesthetic and calm that was pretty unique at the time.
