I’m running FireFox 1.0.7. If I right-click on a link and select “open link in new tab”…nothing happens. I am using a mouse gesture extension which will still acomplish the same thing, but its not always convenient. Any ideas?
I have no idea, but I would point out that 1.0.7 is somewhat old. Is there a reason you want to want to stay with this version and fix the problem, rather than upgrading to the latest version (1.5.0.1)?
The Tab Mix Plus extension.
Works like a dream and has more options than you can shake a stick at.
I have to real long-term commitment to 1.0.7. If I download the newest version will it import all of my bookmarks?
This was a known issue with 1.07. It was fixed in subsequent versions. And yes, an uprade to the latest version (1.51) will retain all of your bookmarks, saved passwords, etc.
I should point out that if you are at all uneasy about the upgrade, you can back up your settings.
Your FireFox bookmarks, settings and so forth are stored in:
C:\Documents and Settings<User>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\
Where <User> is your Windows login name.
