Opinions Sought--Metal Platform Beds.

I’m thinking of replacing my crummy bed. I’ve always favored platform beds. After all, with a modern mattress, box springs are a little obsolescent.

I’m looking at these models, in Full size–

And the Fulton

Anybody bought these, or are familiar with them?

Any other opinions?

Bueller?

I’ve had a bed similar to the ones you link for the last 10 years. Mine is quite comfortable although assembling/de-assembling it can be a pain. But otherwise I love it. I use it with an 8" foam core futon and have a featherbed on top of the futon. What I especially love about no box springs is that the bed never shifts or dips or anything else when either of us roll over.

I’ve got one and like it very much. However I do like a firm bed so if you’re a waterbed type it might not be for you. The metal frame is lightweight but stiff and doesn’t squeak a bit.

But beware of those bars at the foot of the bed. If you foolishly flop down and drop your shin across them it will leave a mark. I’m considering taking a plasma cutter to mine and lowering that bar. Other than that, I’d buy another one in a heartbeat.

Hmmm…sounds good.

Anybody else?
Got a preference between the two?
Or another low-priced suggestion?

I went ahead & bought the Fulton.

IT"S GREAT! And looks good, too!
