Opposites Attract Game

I’m going to give a clue to two songs, the titles of which are opposites. Answer and then post the next puzzle pair.

For example, I might say, “The Beatles troubles seem so far away, but Annie sticks out her chin, and grins.” The first part refers to “Yesterday,” and the second to the showstopper tune from the musical Annie, “Tomorrow.”

So:

The subject of schoolgirl fantasy, that won’t be afraid as long as Ben E. King is singing.

“Don’t stand so close to me” v “Stand by me”
Labourers whom a lady made nervous while the Carpenters have fine cloudless day

“Down Under” vs “Top of the World”

Beck gets crazy with the Cheeze Whiz because Abba have no more ace to play.

“The Winner Takes It All,” vs. “Loser”

Lots of lip-kissing from Lionel Richie, and Steam says nah nah nah.

“Hello” vs. “Goodbye”

Miss Sakamoto doesn’t bother Johnny Nash.

“Blinded Me With Science” v “I can see clearly now”

Stones see girls in summer clothes while Procol danced the fandango

“Paint it Black” v “A Whiter Shade of Pale”

David Ruffin wants to cry over his lost love, while John Fogerty is looking for a hero.

“I Wish it Would Rain” v. “Who’ll Stop the Rain”

One guy doesn’t give a crap about the intangibles of life and just wants to make a fast buck, but his bandmate thinks that love is more important than wealth.

“Money (That’s What I Want)”, but “Can’t Buy Me Love”

City girls just seem to find out early that if you search for tenderness, it isn’t hard to find.

“Lyin’ Eyes” and “Honesty”

Do this while you cuddle near me and it will make me want to get up and do this.

Couple more?

You can just let your mind roll on or you can get yourself up in your favorite disguise.

If you fly away in her arms you won’t have to worry about this lady in azure.

“Angel in your Arms” v. “Devil in a Blue Dress”

He struggles to hold her, while she struggles with dependency. It’s a great future but don’t for the past. Everything’s gonna be all right.

Can we have more hints? Some of these are more like the lyrics obfuscation game rather than the more straightforward examples in the OP.

Not convinced I’ve got both segements but to post #12

“Crying Girl” v “No Woman No Cry”
There’s a girlie apparition in my hall, but Bob would like to take her out of her chains

Actually I was going for Hootie and the Blowfish “Let Her Cry” and “No Woman, No Cry”. I thought too many actual lyrics would make it too easy. I have another in mind that should be easier.

Number Ten are songs done by Paul Whiteman/The Isley Bros.

The one which hasn’t been guessed for Number Eleven are direct quotes, fer cryin’ out loud, (Baby.)

#11
“Walk Right In” v “Run like Hell”

There’s nothing but empty inside that glass, every demon, every ghost from your past. I prefer to be by myself, just me and my buddy Wiser.

“Nobody Drinks Alone”/“I Drink Alone”

Are you skipping #10?

She’d lose a fortune in feelings giving him up and he’s telling her, “Check it and see.”

“Cold As Ice” v “Hot Blooded”

There’s just one thing that you must understand; I drank the potion she offered me.
