Orange Meringue Pie?

We’ve all had Key Lime or Lemon Meringue pies, why have I never seen an Orange Meringue pie? Has anyone here ever tried or seen one? Maybe they’re popular elsewhere and I’ve just never seen them. I was thinking it would be interesting to make one sometime.

I have made a mixed citrus merangue pie (from memory orange, lemon, lime and grapefruit) which was lovely. Apricot meringue is fantastic though http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Apricot-Meringue-Pie/Detail.aspx (or apricot butter for that matter)

I like the mixed citrus idea, I’ll have to try that first before springing an apricot pie on my wife. I’m sure it’s good but she’s terribly resistant to trying new foods much to my dismay.

I tried this because a lemon merange pie is not too hard to make, but anyway the thing I found was the orange was way to overpowering tasting.

I think the mixed citrus would be good. Or any other flavour that would take some taste away from the orange
