I did…it’s a softcover, not in great shape, but it’s readable. I think it ran about $25 without shipping.
For the record, by the way, the sandworm is not a purple worm. I just remembered that we’d already seen a purple worm in the comic, and it looks nothing like the current beast: Not only is the thing they’re riding much bigger than the purple worm, it’s also segmented, not smooth, so it’s not even an advanced purple worm.
You can’t compare babies born in captivity to a wild purple worm. ![]()
You remembered that? Well, I know whose team I want to be on when we play OOTS Trivia Challenge.
That helps. Thanks.
On a different note, does anyone else think that $5.95 is a fairly high shipping charge?
I guess this means I’ll be supporting my local comic book store on this purchase.
It seems about right to me – it’s for a priority mail shipment, right?
I just realized the title of this last one is a double entendre considering the last panel.
Yay! After two and a half weeks…
It’s a good one, too. Roy really knows the strengths of his team.
Nice to see them all working towards a goal like this – it’ll be interesting to watch this next storyline develop with the team more seasoned than before. How adorable is Elan when he feels useful?
Finally!
So, is the first panel some reference to why Burlew took so long to update?
692 already! He must be feeling better.
I bet it had more to do with going over proofs, handling shipping, and trying to have the book on store shelves for Christmas.
Awwww… Roy still has his Bag of Tricks.
One of the coolest. montage. ever. The scorpion chasing Mr. Scruffy and ended up being BBQed by Belkar for dinner (with Elan’s horrified look) is one of the ‘coke all over the monitor’ moment.
I also love how Elan gave Haley the trophy from his defeated foe.
And that he had cactus spines still sticking in him.
I wonder how the cactus responded to his taunting.
