New comic. RIP, dominated kobold whose name I can’t remember.
So V. is inside, they are going outside, LG is outside… now what? A showdown?
You’d think with all the money from Kickstarter, Rich could afford to get a better dictionary.
Durn, too slow!
Well, if it hasn’t been sufficiently confirmed before, this supports Mr. Scruffy’s status as an official animal companion. He took no damage from the attacks, despite being in the area, so he presumably has Evasion and made his saves. Standard cats don’t get Evasion, but the animal companion template adds it fairly early.
Durkon prepped a mass acid resist spell…just in case?
Well, gee, poor kobold. Except he was really nasty to Mr. Scruffy in their first encounter, so maybe not so much with the poor kobold. I dunno.
Love the cleverness of the tagline! Somehow Roy’s scolding of Elan and Belkar reminds me of this strip.
What am I missing?
I was going to mention this too.
Principle should be principal.
“Principal”, not “principle”.
He prepped a mass energy resist spell. Acid is just one of the options for it.
And yes, acid is considered an “energy” type in D&D. He could also have cast that spell to protect against fire, or cold, or electricity, or sonic energy. Even if he wasn’t expecting acid specifically, it’s a fair bet that you’re likely to run up against one of those on an adventuring day. And if you don’t, he can just spontaneously convert that slot to a cure spell.
Belkar has no evade?
Oh my. Poor Yukyuk.
Belkar has evasion (which he himself was surprised to discover), but his Dex (and hence reflex saves) are not as good as Haley’s. Plus, she could have just happened to be luckier than him those two times.
849 is up.
“Try to look forward to the end of the mission” - that doesn’t bode well for Nale, since there’s probably only one thing Malack would be looking forward to.
Well, Malack can look forward to killing Durkon “honorably” or something, whatever that means to him. But yeah, I took it the the way you did.
Me, too. It’s clear that Tarquin is playing a bigger game than Nale realizes.
“Vapid devil-whore” LOL…
And is that really Thog? Or a substitute?
It’s Tarquin…his armor is enchanted to change appearance. That’s what the whole “glamored armor” thing was about. And the accent thing. And the grammar thing. If it were really Thog, it would have been “THOG SMASH!”
