Y’know, I’m torn. On the one hand, I really want this new goblinoid nation to succeed, and for them to take their place amongst the civilized peoples. On the other hand, I also really want Thanh’s resistance, and the prisoners enheartened by O-Chul’s steadfastness, to succeed. And I can’t figure out any way for both to happen.
Well, don’t forget that there’s still a rift with the Snarl right behind it up in the air over the city, so it’s entirely possible that NOBODY will have it in the end.
I love the subtlety of the fact that V’s solo attack was changed to “elven wizards” to make the phylactery debacle go down easier.
Well, technically there were multiple wizards (and one sorcerer) in the attack, though I think V was the only elf.
But did Jirix know about the soul splice? And even if he did, well, then you start getting into whether they “count.”

Me, too! After the last few strips, then the celebrations in the first part of this one, when I came to the last couple of panels my heart dropped and I thought, “Oh, no!” Then I remembered that the blue guys are supposed to be the good guys. Didn’t make me feel any better, though.

what is interesting to me is that the goblins have kept prisoners at all, rather than just killing them for exp or something. I do not think they would get the same courtsey if the situations were reversed, and they are supposedly the evil race.
