Looks like I’ve been ninja’d (and considering subject, that’s very appropriate

I have always thought of that as one of the best strips/episodes that the Giant has drawn and written.
And, my goodness, it was FOUR years ago?
Um, so this last strip, is that it? This can’t be how it ends, right?
I hope not, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised. We’re due for a cliff-hanger.
The latest strip is still part of the illusion the Order is under, so none of that is happening for real. It’s a pretty complete package for an illusion though. I wonder if we might get a time skip after this strip. For all we know a lot of time might be passing while Roy and the others live their illusionary victorious life. It could also be one of those lifetime in a second type deals.

I’m going to say that it’s not the last strip of the book for a couple of reasons:

It doesn’t say so.

There are too many loose ends at the moment - Xykon, Tarquin, Nale and company, Vaarsuvius - and their “looseness” is not dramatic enough yet to make an effective cliffhanger.

It would be terrible storytelling to get this far and then end the book before reaching the damn gate, especially without a really good reason.
So we need one final dramatic push before the end - maybe a battle at the gate between the various factions, maybe something else, but something a bit more conclusive than what we’ve got.
If it is, I hope for his sake that The Giant has brick-proof windows :).
Doubtful. Burlew has always announced when he’s ending a book. But I think we’re only one or two strips away from an ending.
If some kind of epic fight at the current gate is what ends the book, I think we got more than one or two strips left.
I’m reasonably certain that it is against the policies of the SDMB to speak about violence.
So PM me so we can plan this out!

Obviously, I feel that the epic fight will be the subject of the next book.
