The only way left is through the gate.
I am too lazy to check back in the thread but someone predicted that V would end up in the ‘Snarl World’ or whatever we want to call the world beyond the rip in the space-time continuum.
That looks more probable now, unless the Evil Triad teleported V prior to the destruction of the gate.
So many questions!

The room V was in was under the room with the Gate in it. The Rift is presumably currently located exactly where the Gate was. There is a solid floor underneath the Rift. I assume this means that the room that V was in is still intact. Maybe the IFCC protected it from the explosion somehow, or maybe the explosion was directed only outwards and upwards, not downwards. Either way V should still be under there, safe and waiting to be released by the fiends.
Malack, Nale, Durkon, Zz’drti: where are they?
Redcloak gets his disintegrate power from being a cleric with the Destruction domain, right? How many times does he get to use it per day? If he can only use it once, does that mean a forcecage would now work just as well to confine him as it did in the “Roy kills Xykon” phantasm?
Dense today. Will someone please explain the fridge joke?
Nuke the fridge. It’s the updated version of jumping the shark
It doesn’t matter - the Order is screwed. They’re out in the open with nowhere to hide, with no primary spellcasters, no plan and no time to prepare, and their enemy has the higher ground, a safe distance and the ability to cast near-unlimited Meteor Swarms. There is no way they could possibly win this fight.
The scene.
Ta.
Haven’t seen an Indiana Jones movie since Temple of Doom. Looks like I didn’t miss much by not seeing the Crystal Skull installment.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Wouldn’t it be neat, then, if the evil trio used the V possession time to fight Xykon? After all, they’ve specifically said, IIRC, that they don’t want Team Evil winning yet, and the Order is the good-aligned group with the best shot of keeping the status quo.
kaylasdad99, you really ought to see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
It would be neat, but haven’t they already said that they have no plans to possess or control V’s body during his imprisonment?
I agree. The Order is in no shape for a showdown with Xykon & Redcloak now. They’re going through.
They may not have a choice at this point.
ETA: Although going through the gate is definitely a good option, especially for story advancement. But would Rich have the Order separated again by leaving V behind?
Maybe the fiends incarcerated V in order to allow V to survive the gate blast. And they will restore V soon enough to fight Xykon.
Hmmm.
Temple of Doom was pretty bad. But you should check out Last Crusade - that one was good.
Maybe V has already gone through. Where was he relative to the gate?
Underneath it. The listening-room V was in was under the room the Gate was in. The Rift is presumably located where the Gate used to be, and the Rift seems to have a solid floor under it, so presumably the room that V was in is still intact.
Well at least Red Cloak knows Roy’s name.
Oots isn’t quite out in the open: they can hide behind the gate. I suppose they could hide behind the sarcophagus as well.
Ah hell, Xykon can send meteors from above, can’t he? And Red Cloak can travel to the opposite side of the newly created valley, though he would be vulnerable to Haley’s arrows. That said, unless I’m seeing a tiny bit of sand at the bottom of the snarl image, jumping into off-world ocean doesn’t sound like a great survival strategy. Even if sarcophaguses float. Which they don’t.
So it boils down to Haley’s arrows and the appearance of other character(s) in the next strip.
Or that time-honoured tradition of running away. Team Evil are in no position to pursue.
