Just in case we forgot that Tarquin, in addition to being a magnificent bastard, is also an asshole.
I’m going to predict that when Haley finds her father, she’ll also find Crystal, thus tying up that plot line as well.
There’s also the unresolved mystery of Haley’s mother. We know her name was Mia and she was murdered when Haley was young. But there’s still speculations about who (or what) exactly she was and how and why she was killed. Plus there’s the mystery of Kyren and Rachel.
Burlew still has things to tell us.

My thought exactly. We’ve been in the Kingdom of Blood for what, 3 years now? And I thought we were at the end of the book. Unless this is another split-the-party deal. And we still haven’t gotten V back.
I think that this is a way to keep a leash on Haley. Tarquin hasn’t posted the bounty yet. But he can if Haley gives him trouble.
Did we ever see any evidence of that other than “Pay’s good” when they tried to convince vampire Durkon to join the Linear Guild? Because it seemed to me that he and Nale were close friends.

Is V officially Neutral? I always assume he was Neutral Good (although slipping out of the ‘good’ as Roy’s bureaucratic deva points out) with Z being NE as the counter. But I also thought I remembered some strip with V saying he was true neutral, caring only for the wizardly arts or somesuch.
And nice to see the Snail remembered. I keep waiting for him to show up in the main strip.

How cool would it be to find out some day that the ninja is Roy’s half-brother from the other side of the sheets?
Wait, which ninja? I don’t recall any significant male (part-) human ninjas in the strip. Heck, the only insignificant ones I can recall were the ones who accepted Hinjo’s compromise of “Giant Dwarf with a Hammer”.
I think he means Miron Shewdanker, the guy who sent the ransom note to Haley. I don’t know if that guy is a ninja, but I can see how he has the look of both a ninja and someone who might be related to Roy.
