On first glance, this is classic V, but now there’s a definite darker undertone. Kudos to Rich; this gives V even more depth.

Maybe he is V’s spouse’s lawyer, and wants to use V’s temper as ammo?
Because he’s a process server, of course. You’ve never gotten served before? That’s how it always goes.
I suspect that this is going to go uncontested and consequently just make it all worse. Given the choice between running back to deal with a divorce or sticking around to safeguard all of reality then V’s (especially the new V) is going to take the emotional blow for the good of the universe.
Oh. Oh, dear. I do like Blackwing’s attempt to put a positive spin on V’s hairtrigger use of aggressive magic (‘So, progress.’). I wonder if V is going to mention this to the rest of the OotS or just let it happen.
