I don’t think he has the ring of jumping any more. Belkar lent it to him, but I’m sure got it back when they recovered Roy’s body.
Any similarities of personality between Andi and a certain political leader are purely coincidental. They told me that upthread, and I must believe it because I read it on the SDMB.
Let me just link you to a post on the OOTS forum. ![]()
Yes, you’re right; I had the loaning the wrong way around.
Maybe among the arcane knowledge in that book Wreckan gave him was a Word of Summoning that he’ll comprehend just when he needs to. 'Cos I agree that the away team isn’t on a trajectory to intersect with the sword’s path, AND I don’t think the narrative willl be served by another sword-related sidequest.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a callback to Roy’s beatdown of Xykon, now that he thinks he’s lost the family sword again. Chop that giantess into little pieces with her own battle axe.
Aside: the exploit by which the Mechane is guaranteed to get them there in the nick of time can’t really function if the Mechane no longer exists, so they better not let the ship get destroyed.
1068 is up!
well, this gives me hope that this interminable subplot might end by mid June.
Shhh! Don’t jinx it!
October panel: “Look, those are the giants we killed before! We’ve been flying in circles!”
Feminist tension among frost giants. I love it.
1068 is up - Ship Abandon.
So, yeah, we’re still pretty well treading water.
Belkar is tired of stabbing people in the face?
Then that’s not the real Belkar. Bet he was vamped off-screen.
So, what are the odds that it’s Roy’s falling sword that kills Belkar?
It’s just as well. I believe it was Dr Johnson who said “When you are tired of stabbing people in the face, you are tired of life.”
Haley felt it but not V. Total 100% evidence that V is a dude!
Really? I thought V’s comment meant she felt it too.
Heh. And the ambiguity rolls on…
Just part of his new persona. There isn’t actually anyone around left to kill so it’s not like he’s really giving up a chance to kill people. So this is a good chance for him to push the idea that he’s become more moderate in his violence.
Pretty low, considering that they can’t see the airship.
New one’s up. 1069http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1069.html
