1105 Out of the Box, Into the Fire
Aaaaand…I’m blanking on who that is at the end.
I told you she was going to show up eventually!
It’ll come to you.
Presumably Helgya (sp?) the cleric of Loki from way back in the Order’s first dungeon. I’m also guessing that the person who “told” her was quite likely Loki himself.
So did one of our guys Send for her? Also, does she count as a rival, meaning she is at the same level as Durkon?
Not that there was much question but, looking at the old strips, that’s definitely her.
Also, Loki knew about their ahem entanglement so I’m still guessing this was a direct call from Up Above after Durkon shed his Godsmoot protection.
Those who don’t remember Hilgya were no doubt distracted by the other major character who was introduced in the next strip.
Oh gods- Durk’s a daddy!
Thanks
Hilgya Firehelm. Wiki Confirms, though I wish someone hadn’t updated so quickly because I’d like to see just how long ago she last was in the comics. Could it seriously have been 13 years?
Prior to this most recent comic, her last in-person appearance was strip 84 and her last pictoral reference was 668.
So is Durkon an Undeadbeat Dad?
<Elan>DUH-DUH-DUUUUUUHHHH!</Elan>
Other than the Undead part, that will probably raise his estimation in Thor’s eyes.
I wonder if this is going to lead to a standard “the realization that he’s a father gives Durkon newfound strength to fight the demon” situation.
Hilgya is scratched out in that picture so I guess she was (wittingly or not) smart enough to get out of the “total moron pawn” game. Who would have thought that ceasing to be a pawn for evil was as easy as saying “Screw this, I’m out”?
Z’s scratched out, too, and he ended up a pawn. Though maybe they hadn’t decided to spring him out of layer limbo yet?

I’m 99.9% sure this post is in the wrong thread, and I don’t know who Isaac is, but that brings up the question: Who would you all cast in the live action version of OOTS?
I’ll start with Jason Momoa (Vin Diesel’s too old—though he’d get a great kick out of it) as Roy. Tilda Swinton as V. Voice of Benedict Cumberbatch as Xykon?
Others?
And I already want to change my mind. Would Will Smith as Roy work, or is he not enough of the long suffering straight man?
