It also confirms something that readers have suspected, but was never actually out and out stated before: that Sabine is, specifically, a succubus.
Oh, and note that there was so much reaction and readership that the forums were shut down!

Even Sabine, who’s probably the foremost expert on the subject of sex in this strip, can’t decide.
While also confirming that contrary to normal succubi, she’s Lawful Evil.
I’m pretty sure she’s been referred to as a “succubus” elsewhere and then had devil or demon mystery continue. They could be using “succubus” as just an evil temptress. Just as Vaarsuvius was referred to as “Mister” a few strips ago and now they’re being ambiguous with V’s gender again.
Nope… The closest the strip itself has ever come to saying her type is that she’s an “evil incarnation of illicit sex”, but the problem is that D&D actually has multiple different evil incarnations of illicit sex (the diabolical version being the erinyes). And an author’s commentary in one of the published books refers to her as a “succubus-type”, but again, that still leaves the possibility of erinyes open. This, though, is pretty clear: Someone who would certainly know has now called her “a succubus”, without qualification.
ok just read all 630 some strips. I love3 this comic! How frequently fo new strips appear?
Depends on how the author is feeling, among other things - he has some sort of health problem that will occasionally (IIRC) leave him bedridden or close to it. I think his aim is three times per week; the last comic came out only two days after the previous (3/11), but the one before that was a week prior (3/3). I’d say it’s worth the occasional uncertainty.
Is it possible V is taunting the Dragon to distract it from trying to finish off the spouse and kids rather than attacking V?
Burlew has also written several books. Three of them, Dungeon Crawlin’ Fools, No Cure for the Paladin Blues, and War And XPs are reprints of the webcomic series with some bonus strips. Two others, On the Origin of PCs and Start of Darkness, are prequels with all new material.
He hasn’t kept to 3 per week for some time. The last 100 strips have taken almost exactly a year.
Did anyone else hear Burlew cackling when he came up with that title?
Aw, poor Mama Dragon.
I liked Elf-Parent’s response to the question: “I’m… not sure.” So very appropriate.
I’ve always assumed his health situation is related to the notice on the site “updates up to three days per week without warning.”
Regarding the title, my reaction was “Damn you, Burlew!”
I think we can chalk up swallowing whole an overpowered wizard who just cast Protection from Acid as blind panic on the dragon’s part because it definitely wasn’t smart.
Of course the fight was the prelude. The really interesting stuff is about to hit…
The dragon had no idea. She was Time Stopped when he cast Acid Immunity.
Okay, I’m stumped. What the heck kind of dragon is that?
A pink one.
So… I expect a pink dragon would have some kind of a “fart rainbows” breath weapon, then? There has to be some reason V chose to go pink.
What does a pink dragon signify, in D&D terms?
