I like elk, venison, etc., but I do not hunt. Any one with a good reliable online source for ordering some for delivery at reasonable prices and not having to buy absurd amounts at a time? (I have found some sites by regular searching, but would love to hear from someone who actually used a provider.)

You are localish, no? Any reason why you want to order online rather than just schlepping over to these guys? I mean I hear really fabulous things about them from friends who are willing to shell out for game meat (I am a cheapskate and am generally not). I’ve been in there, and they sure do a booming business.

Back when my brother was on the Atkins Diet, he was getting bored of ordinary meat, so I got him some kangaroo ribs for Christmas off the internet. I’ll see if I can remember where I ordered from.
Or for ordering online, these guys, but I suspect if you want game meat at a reasonable price, what you really nneed to do is make friends with some hunters.
I don’t know how IL works (esp. in urban areas), but in central WI, at least venison is readily available at all the area food pantries. If you feel bad about taking from those who truly need it, make a contribution to equal your take.
