Yes, it would be great if each of us spent the effort to know the origins of our brothers’ views on things. But don’t assume no one can find an overwhelming tide of information supporting evolution, and yet also read the Bible, and hold his faith in the Lord as precious beyond price.
As you seek out knowledge of evolution, biology, chemistry, and cosmology do not make the mistake of letting your faith be held hostage to proof, in the matter of creationism. Creationism is not faith; it is a poor imitation of science, used to bolster the intellectual pretension of religious academicians, and authoritarians. No one needs to disprove evolution, or astronomy. God rules the heavens, despite the fact that Kepler, and Newton figured out how the rules worked.
I have no doubt that you wish to stand steadfast in your faith in the Lord, and I encourage you in that desire. But do not let yourself be fooled into supporting the self important demagogues who are wish to make their own understanding of the world a limit which God himself cannot cross. Worse yet, don’t become a part of that hideous cult which promulgates lies and frauds simply because they support “Creation Science.” At it’s very best and least objectionable Creationism is just bad science, but it has dark depths far beyond that. The stupidity of the greatest fool in all of science’s history is trivial against the deeds of those that tell lies, and call them God’s word. Only self-exalting fools think God needs their help to prove Himself.
