Original Star Wars poster--worth big bucks?

Hey, I’ve recently acquired a poster advertising the original Star Wars movie. The poster was of the type sent to movie theaters by film distributors (or someone that has to do with selling the film, I’m not sure how it works), and on the bottom it has an inscription saying that after the movie runs the theater is supposed to either destroy the poster or send it back to the person the theater got it from. It’s kind of cool because it’s a print of an actual painting (or maybe paintings) instead of a digitally manipulated photo montage like current posters.

It’s in relatively good shape, the only problem is some creases from where it was folded, but I’m told even this is somewhat “original” because the poster was shipped to the movie theater folded up instead of in a tube.

So, does anyone know about stuff like this? Is this thing worth big bucks or anything? I have absolutely no intention of selling it, and I’ll probably frame it and hang it somewhere when I get around to it, but I was just wondering.

A little more specific…

Is e-bay really the best way to determine the collectors price for something?
