As discussed in this thread, The Falling Reverend has just moved into the area and would like to meet some new friends and check out some new places to hang out. So far, we’ve gotten the following suggestions:
Saturday, January 17th
Possible locations:
Cafe Tu Tu Tango
Old Town
Three Sisters Speakeasy/Broadway Pizza Bar (they’re very close together)
So, who’s coming, and are there any votes for another location?
That’s a long weekend, isn’t it? I think I can make it, but my daughter seems to be having a more active social life than I am right now, and I might have to ferry her somewhere. Put me down as a strong maybe, will be there if I can.
And I vote for Tu Tu Tango. That’s the one off I-Drive, right? Wait, won’t Saturday be too crowded? Or are we doing this in the afternoon?
Depending on the time and place I might make part of it. I want to play in a warhammer 40k tournament in downtown Kissimmee that Saturday but that store is known for its long tournies so it might not get out until 7 or so. On the other hand, if I don’t get my army done I’d be free all that day. So keep me informed of the place you choose and how long you’re planning on being there and I might show or look to see if there’s anyone still around after my game lets out.
Next weekend is cool. I know where the 3 sisters place is but other than that I will probably be asking for directions.
BTW if anyone likes punk rock at all ,my friend’s band plus a few others are playing Uncle Lou’s (across from Wally’s) on saturday night.
Oh, really? Do they have anything online? I like some punk rock, but I tend to prefer to preview bands before I head to the show. What’s the cover charge/start time/etc?
Well, looks like I will be carrying the work pager that Saturday, so I won’t be able to play in the tournament, but I will be able to eat with you all as long as the pager don’t go off…
they’re playing with another band called TSS which I don’t like very much. There is also a mystery band from NY playing as well. Cover I think will be about 5 bucks. DNA isn’t the best band but the shows are always fun. Show starts at around 7.
I’m sticking with my first instinct and voting for old town. There is enough variety and amount of stuff to do and places to enjoy that we all should be able to agree and afford it. I also vote for 5-ish.
