Its time to prepare for the annual Oscar party. Each year we dress up as a character from a nominated movie and watch the Oscars. Each year I agonize over a costume. I literally hate that part of it and it even makes me consider not going.
Maybe you guys can help.
I need a cheap and easy costume. I want to be instantly recognizable. A lot of people will probably go with a fake rifle and be the guy from American Sniper. Lets dig a little deeper.

Wear all purple and make a Lobby Boy cap out of paper.
Make a punny appearance as Oscar the Grouch. Paint yourself green, buy a trashcan, attach some suspenders, and cut the bottom out of it.

How about bringing a fake beard (American Sniper) or drum sticks (Whiplash)? Or you could dress like a nerd and say you’re from The Imitation Game.
I suppose dressing up as Birdman wouldn’t be cheap or easy.
If you have an academic cap and gown, you can go as 18-year-old Mason from Boyhood.
Acouple of large white trash bags, some fluff, and a rope to tie it at the appropriate points - Boom! You are Big Hero Six!

Or you could get a fake baby and be the guy from American Sniper.
Are you male or female? If female you could get a short bob wig, some dumpy early-60’s clothes, find or borrow a Rolleiflex, and go as Vivian Maier.
