Jackman does a great job, but I wish he were shorter, less classically handsome and more hairy.
The biggest risk I could think of, but might’ve paid off, is Robin Williams - short, hairy and intense - his comedy can come from very dark places - if he could channel that energy well, he could’ve done an interesting job. But he is not young enough and although he is a physical comedian, I don’t know if we could be sold on his physical menace, whereas as someone like Hoskins, although he was silly in Roger Rabbit, was very physically menacing in a number of other films…
