Other uses for GRE scores?

I took the GRE exam last month and scored quite strongly on all three sections. However, I’m leaning towards working for awhile before tackling my PhD. Is there any place to slip good scores in when seeking employment with a private firm? Specifically, I’m interested in applying as an entry-level consultant. Potential employers in this field are of course concerned with finding employees with strong analytical, scientific and communications skills; I feel my GRE scores support that I have these qualities. Still, I feel that putting the scores on my resume, possibly in the education section, is somehow tacky. OTOH, I’ll state my GPA, so why not GRE?

If this is a total no-no, please tell me before I commit a major gaff! :o

In my applications for some management consulting firms, there were spaces to include standardized tests scores (the one that jumps to mind was for BCG). GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, and GRE. But if they’re not asking for it, it’d be a bit presumptuous to include them anyways.

The little sheet they send them to you on is not bad for origami.

That’s what I thought. Thanks.

Before you take off announcing your scores, if you’re going to stick them on your resume be very careful. I nearly made this mistake with my LSAT’s. Employers will be impressed of course, but that may be outweighed by fears that you will leave the company for further education, if you can work them into an interview, that should do the trick, but exercise extreme caution on a cold resume…
