i was trying to just make a comment on cecile’s answer on the Ouija Board, I’m not sure if I’m doing this right by selecting a new thread… but here goes.
In my personal experience in using an Ouija board, with my eyes closed… the planchette still moves. If you concentrate and use the Ouija respectfully it’s still quite the mystery, not always involuntary movements (though I’m sure that’s true in some cases)
I think everybody should use once at least once with an open mind, it’s pretty surprising. We do NOT know what the afterlife is like, nobody does, not for sure, so when something like an Ouija board, dealing with the supernatural, you can never tell, even with science.
Unfortunately, that’s not true. There’s no mystery. If you can’t see the board, nothing useful happens.
In this case, however, we’re dealing with parlor tricks, not the supernatural. It’s actually pretty easy to dismiss the Ouija board for what it is, a fun game that relies on involuntary movements and suggestibility.
Speaking of Ouija boards, I tried it with my brother and with my sister when I was a kid, and, it just didn’t work.
I didn’t believe it would be supernatural, but I was looking forward to seeing what our joint subconsciousses would come up with. And they came up with nothing.
How unusual is this? What does it mean about me, if anything?
im definately going to be checking this out with my board and doing some blindfold experiments, i’ll try and let you guys know what happens once i get the chance.
I don’t know, I guess I’m really in touch with my spiritual side, i’ll try not to let that get in the way.
And if you were trying it with other people it might not reveal much about you individually if it were just the subconsciece mind. in my opinion, you should try again, though it’s always a good idea to read up on something if you don’t know much about it before you try it again.

exactly. but you never can tell if an actual *afterlife * does exist either.
and i know most of you probably think its bullshit but you can never make up your mind about something without checking it out for yourself first.
