No grandbaby here either. However, the doctor is planning to induce her on Thursday if nothing else. So maybe we will have something to post about then.
Unpack, make the house a mess, and say “I have plenty of time, babies are always late…”
Mine came at 38 weeks 3 days. With no warning. I wasn’t packed. My labor coach was six states away. And my doctor had dropped hints that an early delivery via induction was likely (I had borderline toxemia) the following week - so I was certain I’d have a leisurely pack and trip to the hospital…
Scheduled an induction for Wednesday morning in case her stubbornness continues.
Wish you the best, hope it all goes well. The birthing is just the beginning of a whole new life for all of you. I remember being a week overdue, and finally something began to happen, and we looked around our spotlessly clean house (I had to keep busy for that whole week) thinking, things will never be the same. They weren’t!
At the hospital now for the scheduled delivery. Just waiting at this point.

I just saw this thread. Congrats Bearflag. Babies are awesome. Mine is almost 5 months old and is still the greatest thing in the history of things.
If you haven’t yet, take this time to practice taking the car seat back out of the car. Then put it back in and take it out again. Do this a few times now while things are calm. I didn’t do that and when we were ready to be discharged from the hospital I spent 20 minutes wrestling with the damn thing so I could get it back out of the car and up to the baby (I was exhausted and nervous and couldn’t remember which of the many levers and/or latches I needed to move to get the thing out of its base.)

Mrs. Bearflag is now napping through her pitocin IV and I’m getting some work done. It’s nice with no phone ringing in my ear.
Is she making any progress? I remember induction taking all friggin’ day long. 15 hours IIRC.
