Congratulations! We just had our first on March 6. My advice: stock up on sleep. Holy crap, am I ever tired.
How’s it going?
The Wife was induced with something different. Long story made short, it made for a very painful day.
My profound first words?
“I hope you’ve got good insurance, Dr. Klein.”
“Why’s that?”
“Well, she won’t sue you, but there’s gotta be some way to make a buck off the trauma you put me through”
It was funny in my head at the time, not so much once the words left my mouth.
They know I’m an attorney, so that joke wouldn’t go over very well coming from me.
I’m just hanging out and working still. She had some Jell-O, browsed a magazine, and is back to napping.
Good. How’s it going?
We had a blood pressure spike and emergency c-section on Monday at midnight. We got home this afternoon. Everyone’s fine. Ow. I’m sore.
Glad everyone’s OK.
Ate some lunch, played a couple games of UNO, and she’s back to napping again.

Pics here on my blog. My toddler is actually somewhat interested and pleased. We’ve been conditioning him for months. He hasn’t figured out that he’s not the centre of the world yet, because he’s mostly at my parents’.
Awww lissla, he’s cute! I remember my toddler thinking her brother was “her baby”. Boy was she surprised when reality set in.
