Out of the closet at work

Texarkana is small and conservative…??

…and I am upgrading from a town with NO stoplight, to one with only 4, instead of going south near you?
:smack:
I may have to rethink this…

Anyway, I’m glad for you.

Congrats, dude.
I don’t tell any of my co-workers but my friends, because I live in Oklahoma, my job doesn’t list sexual preference in its non-discrimination clause and several co-workers are quite obviously virulently homophobic. Of course, one of my friends who knows is a major gossip so it may be that everyone knows and just ignores it.

** LadyDragon**: Having lived just south of Houston, Dallas and Atlanta, Ga., Texarkana at least seems small at about 50K population. Of course if you consider the snicker Greater Texarkana Metropolitan Area, which includes both Bowie and Miller Counties, then you get a population of about 120K. Just don’t tell the folks in Fouke or New Boston that they’re part of Texarkana.

SwimmingRiddles: Yep, that’s me. I’m still doing it and they’re still disappearing. I wonder now that people know if that will affect the disappearance. The one I left out after lunch Friday was still there this morning.

… I’m still enchanted by the Cobalt Blue…

:stuck_out_tongue:

Congrats !!!

It’s amazing the number of people that hail from Fouke Texas.

You lookin’ for trouble? Not from me, mind you, I think the Red River should be the line between Texas and Arkansas. Miller County seems like it should have been in Texas rather than Arkansas. But some folk from Fouke get really upset over that.

Me: Howdy y’all. I’m from Houston. Pleased to meet you.

Them: Fouke Texas.

Me: I see. Y’all got a Whataburger there?

Hmmm…

I’d never heard of Fouke, Texas before. It seems even smaller than Fouke, Arkansas (about 15 miles from Texarkana). Fouke, Ark. doesn’t have a Whataburger either. In fact, it has no chain anything, although there are a couple of buger joints, a gas station and a caution light.
