Outlook and Hotmail – any workaround?

Years ago, I set up Outlook Express to check my Hotmail account. As this was before Hotmail stopped allowing new Outlook access without a paid subscription, they grandfathered me in and ever since I’ve had Outlook Express checking my Hotmail account.

But in the intervening years, I’ve been using Outlook (not Express) for business accounts and the calendar. Which means that I typically have both Outlook and Outlook Express open on my desktop, taking up space and resources.

Is there any way I can bring the account from Express to regular Outlook? I’ve tried just setting up an account via account manager, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rhythm

There is a Microsoft tutorial here
Hope that helps.

There is a plugin for outlook called Microsoft Office Outlook Connector. I’ve never used it but it appears that its purpose is to allow you to use Outlook to access your free Live Hotmail Accounts.
