Is anybody else still watching Outsourced? I thought it was horrible when I first saw the pilot, but it’s grown on me. Tonight’s the season finale and possibly the series finale as well. I haven’t read anything on whether it’s been renewed or not, but I’d be surprised it it was the former. The 10:30pm timeslot can’t possibly be helping. Hopefully the season finale doesn’t end on a major cliffhanger.
While NBC hasn’t been promoting it with the other Thursday night line-up shows, they have recently shown a few previews of tonight’s season finale (shut up, I’m optimistic!).
I too was poised to dislike it but it grew on me as well! There are some things about it that bug me, but the (mostly) Indian cast work well together and that is the best part of the show. Poor Rajiv! His fiancee and future father-in-law surely “caught” him in a very compromising position last week. I do hope things will turn out okay for him.
I ended up liking this show too.
Yeah, it’s grown on me too. I’ll watch it next season, but I won’t be heartbroken if it doesn’t come back.
I watch it mainly due to inertia. I like Community and Parks and Rec so I end up watching Office and Outsourced. Outsourced has not really grown on me so much as Rebecca Hazlewood has. I have no idea if it will be renewed, won’t miss it much if it’s not.
Tonight’s episode was very good. If it’s not renewed at least the series ended on a high note with no major cliffhangers.
I think it’s a cute little show with some decent laughs in each episode. I hope it lasts another season but I don’t expect it would be picked up. I also hope to see the main cast is other shows & movies.
The show has grown on me, too. I like the subtle character development that’s happening in the Indian characters. For instance, Rajiv isn’t a complete asshole all the time. I like the romance that Mahdjuri’s getting into. Even Gupta is less one-dimensional. Todd is still a completely featureless loser, but oh well. Charlie is a hoot! Ditch the Australian chick- she adds nothing.
I gotta say, the wedding scene made me cry, it was so beautiful. They must have had a blast filming it.
Weird, I thought she was already gone, she’s in the credits still, did I miss her? Also, they’re clearly setting up Todd and Asha to get together if there’s another season.
I like it, and hope its renewed. I usually tune in for 30 Rock and Community, but Parks and Rec and Outsourced are funny enough I keep the TV on for them, and both shows have grown on me.
The Office, on the other hand, is dead to me
Agreed.
RATS!! They didn’t give it a chance!
Wasn’t Outsourced NBC’s 2nd highest rated sitcom before they exiled it to 10:30?
well, bummer
I love the show. Madhuri and ‘the angry Sikh guy’ are just so cute together. They never stop surprising me. And Asha is easy on the eyes, of course.
I don’t buy that Manmeet, as someone who only had a partial understanding of the culture and has never interacted with other Americans in real life before, could be so successful with the ladies in the US. But I guess that’s a fairly minor nitpick.
I liked it at first but it started to grate on me in the past few episodes. Gupta and Charlie are already caricatures, Aisha and Tonya are both one-dimensional love interests that get little to no screen time, and Todd is just bland. I do like Madhuri, though.
Damn I really liked that show.
Well the rich white American bitch was just looking for a local sex partner as part of her vacation.
Awwww, I really liked this show too. I hope I see some of the actors pop up again soon.
