Oysters and cream cheese?

I went to Brady’s Oysters when I was out on the Olympic Peninsula for my traditional haul of smoked salmon. (Get BACK!!!) While I was there I bought a couple of pouches of smoked oysters. The countergirl said she was throwing in a couple packs of smoked oyster pieces gratis. I don’t know how to make oyster stew, and anyway I think that would need raw oysters.

So I thought maybe I could mix the smoked oyster bits with cream cheese and make a dip. Would this be good? (I’ve made cream cheese-and-salmon dip that turned out very tasty.)

Smoked oysters and cream cheese are wonderful–I sometimes for breakfast have scrambled eggs, smoked oysters and cream cheese with toast. Spread the toast with cream cheese and top with oysters–yum. This also is good with crackers. I have never made a dip with them, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t taste good.

Also, if you eat enough smoked oysters your farts will be lethal. Happy hunting!

Mmm, oysters and cream cheese…

Sounds great to me!
