So, I hear about this guy, you know, man, and I’ve heard the name before. He’s supposed to be, you know, really good.
And I hear he’s doing lead for Ozzy at Ozzfest, and I say what the heck, and track down some of his CDs.
Damnation and hellfire, he is good. Band’s Black Label Society, but sometimes it’s under Zakk Wylde. It’s metal. Furthermore, it’s real metal, not nu-metal. Guitar solos and everything.
Ozzy’s new guitarist? Only in the sense of “latest,” given that he’s played with Ozzy for, what, 15 years?
It’s called Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, and they sound like they want to be Pantera if they grow up.

He’s a cool guitarist but, dude, he’s been with Ozzy since like the 80’s.

I think ZW is a great guitar player. I haven’t heard too much of BLS but I was thinking about checking it out.

I came in here to make the same Nelson Munz “Ha-ha!” jab at the OP too. Zakk’s been with Ozzy for a long time.
I will add something productive though: Zakk Wylde put a solo CD out a while ago. It was called Book of Shadows and was pretty good, though it’s not heavy metal.
