Just a thread nitpick: If we’re going to comment on something said during the debate, could we clarify what it is we’re commenting on? 
This format, added to the frequent allegations against Obama are really tipping the scales…
I wish Obama would point on (on the religion thing) that it’s no secret that when times get tough, the religious do look to God for hope and comfort - and even a new job. It’s not a horrid thing. I think those taking offense may very well relate to that point. But that’s a guess.
Well, I hope the voters weren’t planning to hear the candidates debate the issues.
I guess this debate’s audience is really the superdelegates. Can they watch this and not be thinking that this thing has got to come to a close soon?

That whole William Ayers thing is such a steaming pile. I’m noticing that not a single genuine issue has yet been touched on. Not one question about Iraq or the economy. Just a gotchya ya marathon.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I don’t think Obama handled the pastor thing well, and Clinton positively floundered with her Bosnia answer.
And after 45 minutes, they have yet to touch on an actual national issue. What is this, TMZ.com?

Obama’s doing pretty well, I think. He’s showing some fatigue in the pace of his delivery, and I can tell he’s tired of being on the defensive, but he hasn’t made any holes deeper.
But every time Hillary opens her mouth, she proves Obama’s points about the race being about trivial distractions. He’s setting himself up to be above the fray and Hillary seems to be more than willing to push him up there. She needs to stop using every question to lambast Obama.
That flag question was ridiculous. He deserves an award just for not rolling his eyes.
