I live in Carlisle, and, according to one of the other news sites, she lives in my neighborhood. Creepy. One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that all of the news stories I’ve been able to find are about 24 hours old. Have there been any updates?
Anyway, I’ll be happy to keep an eye out for her, and I hope she makes it home safely.
This is a weird sentence. I can’t decide whether it’s just clumsily phrased, or carefully worded to avoid giving away specific details. I suspect authorities may know more than they’re letting on.
In any case, I do of course hope the girl turns up OK.
Based on what I’ve been able to piece together from what little has been in the local media and what was posted in the Fark thread, it sounds like the assumption is that the girl took off for the long Easter break and will probably come back on her own. (I post – or lurk, rather, as Cheez_Wit.) It still sucks for her foster family, though.
She’s back. She was found in Carlisle after a four-day partying spree.

That said, I’m glad that she’s found and safe. I hope it’s made clear to her that people were worried about her safety - sometimes knowing people really do care about you and your well-being can make a difference.
Since she’s been found, I can tease you a bit. A Bola is a South American weapon a B.O.L.O. is Be On the Look Out. A bolo is an ugly tie.
Yes, after I put BOLA on there, I realized my goof.
Thanks to all who took a look. She was found, spent some precautionary time in the ER and is back home with her foster parents.
