Packers v. Bears: NFC Championship Game.

Clearly.

While I’m going to be rooting NFC, my money (were I a gambler) would totally be AFC in this Super Bowl. I was not particularly impressed by either team on the field today.

Well, he looks shaken **and **stirred..

My happiness does not revolve around children’s playground games. It’s just a tv show. It’s not going to ruin my life.

One one hand, two great defenses playing on a bad field will often yield a game that looks ugly.

On the other hand, maybe this will tone down the media hype the Packers have been getting all postseason, and maybe it will bring the offense back to earth a little so we see more of what we saw in Atlanta.

And can the defenders please, for the love of the flying spaghetti monster, stop almost blowing big plays by celebrating early? This was the third week in a row :smack:

Are you admitting to trolling this thread?

Nobody takes his sports posts seriously, do they? I’ve always assumed it was just exaggerated sports trash talk, the sort of brainless reactionary shit you’d get in the bar.

You can’t seriously think this is a clever question.

The thing is, I think he believes it. For all his faults, and they are legion, Dio is generally sincere. Incredibly ignorant about football and kinda a douche, but sincere.

Huh. I don’t buy it. Maybe I’m naive, but I honestly don’t believe he’s that clueless.

Most of what I do is smack talk, but I am genuinely suspicious of the consistently favorable breaks the Packers get from the officiating. It never evens out. They never get screwed back.

OK, that’s the impression I got from you, but I don’t share your impression of the officiating, that’s for sure. I thought today’s game was very fairly officiated. The only one I grumbled about was the intentional grounding. In my opinion, it was intentional grounding, but that type of intentional grounding never gets called. Far more blatant examples of intentional grounding don’t get called, so I really think the Bears should have gotten the benefit of a doubt there. Other than that, I didn’t see much to bitch about, officiating-wise.

As an experienced smack talker, let me tell you that you’re as horrible at it as you are analyzing football. Wishing serious injury on players, denying reality, making inane comments, and sour grapes are not “smack talking”, they’re just pathetic and make you look like a complete tool. Smack talking is fun, what you do is just sad.

As an aside, here’s a shout out to Israel Idonije of the Chicago Bears for being a finalist for the Walter Payton man of the year award. Great work.

Man…I was so happy to see The Pack win…

And to come here and see the Dio show…

It’s my favorite football day of the season!

You have much company

Man, this fucking sucks.

I beg to differ. It’s really kinda cool.

While I think the AFC will be favored, I don’t think you can read too much into this game in the sense that divisional rivals always place tough, defensive games.

I was very impressed with the Bears defense and they certainkly had a fantastic season. With the Lions improving it is going to be such a tough division for years to come.

And Dio, the good news for you is that the Packers won’t draft until at best 31st.

Who said it’s clever?
