hehe…
I’m a Packer fan and I’m apprehensive. We lost to the Lions fer chrissakes, a meltdown is always a possibility.
Who knows, B.J. Raji makes a good Fullback.
Alrighty. I’m off to the store to get an arugala salad, some ladyfingers, and a nice bottle of Reisling for the game.
Oh, who am I kidding. I’m getting brats, cheese curds, chicken wings, and Leine’s. Gotta do it up right.
4 hours to go until the Packers begin their whuppin’ of the Bears.
I’m really excited for this game. No vested interest in the outcome, no particular loathing for either team so I won’t mind if either wins, I like both QBs, and I’m expecting a great game with an exciting finish.
So of course I won’t be home until 5:30EST, and will get to see only the fourth quarter.
I’ll be home for the entire AFC Championship played by teams I despise, though. Ah, well.
You don’t look so good.
You’re really pale.
Man, your skin is burning up.
As a pretend doctor, I’m telling you that you’re too sick to go do anything today. I order you to stay inside in your house, drink plenty of fluids, and watch as much television as possible.
That’s a pretend doctor’s order.
I’m starting to get really wound up. MsNito has instructed me to begin drinking.
I am going with the Packers in this one!
Up next. Kickoff!
Well, you should probably listen to her then.
I’d like to thank this thread for introducing me to the concept of a “ham and egger.” I’d never heard it used like that before. My only acquaintance with the term “ham and egger” was in relation to a Depression-era pension movement in California.
And our first shitty sod, on the kickoff. Thanks Chicago Park District!
While I have no dog in the fight, I think I am picking the Packers.
Geez, Rogers is money so far…
By the by, a little C&P of my facebook status:
In a coincidence that will have the pundits spewing over themselves for days, both of today’s games end with identical scores:
NYJ 33 - PIT 27
GB 33 - CHI 27
Well, that was all far too easy if you’re a Bears fan.
I hope Dio is with us for live commentary.
Oh yeah. Fantastic first drive, great mix of plays, Aaron is money, and no mistakes.
Hot damn.
Now, the biggest worries. Special teams.
4-for-4 for 87, three 20+ yd. completions and a running TD. Not a bad way for your QB to start things out.
Cutler missed him. I hate seeing Peprah in coverage, he’s a weak link, but thank heavens Jay couldn’t make the throw.
I know they’re trying to keep it away from Hester, but I’m not sure I like giving it to them at the 40 every time, either.
